OPPORTUNITIES

The MIND‑AD CRE is dedicated to supporting the development of PhD students and early career researchers (ECRs) by providing programs and opportunities that strengthen their professional growth. The Capacity Building Team leads these initiatives, offering a range of supports including travel grants, small research grants, technology skills grants, and clinician‑researcher support grants.

In 2025, the CRE awarded six travel grants, enabling PhD candidates and ECRs to attend major international conferences such as the Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease Conference, the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies Conference, and the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference.

In 2026, four ECRs received small research grants to advance projects progressing toward readiness for competitive or external funding.

Applications for the 2026 travel grant round are now open and will close on Thursday 2 July.
