The MIND-AD CRE is committed to promoting the growth of early career researchers by offering programs and opportunities designed to support their professional development. The Capacity Building Working Group will lead and support these initiatives, which may offer opportunities such as a PhD student program, research development program, leadership program, and clinician research program.
PhD Student Program
We are seeking highly motivated PhD students to join the MIND-AD CRE program. Begin your career in basic science and neurodegenerative disease research with us today and help drive new discoveries in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.

PhD funding is available for three of five projects listed below:
- Development of CLEIM Pipeline for Multi-Scale Analysis in Alzheimer’s Disease Research (UWA based)
- Consequences of blood-brain barrier dysfunction in Alzheimer’s disease on therapeutic drug delivery (QIMR based)
- Mathematical models of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) progression (UQ based)
